The Briarhill Band Boosters will be nominating officers for the 2008-2009 school year in the next few weeks. If you are interested in getting more involved with this great organization, now is your chance! All positions are one year in length. This is a great way to meet other parents and help support the Briarhill band program.
The following is a list of officer positions available:
President - The president presides at all general and board meetings. The president will serve as an ex-officio member on all committees, set and distribute an agenda for all meetings.
Vice President 1 - The VP1 is in charge of fund-raising and oversees the fund-raising committee.
Vice President 2 - The VP2 is in charge of hospitality and chaperones, and oversees those committees.
Secretary - The secretary will keep minutes of both general and board meetings, handle all correspondence and keeps records of all activities.
Treasurer - The treasurer has primary responsibility for depositing funds, writing checks, and reconciling bank statements. The treasurer also oversees the finance committee, aids in the collection and counting of fund-raising money, and keeps records for each fund-raising event.
